Bradley T. Durvin

Brad’s primary focus is his large and diverse general solicitor’s practice. He represents clients in probate and estate administration matters, the preparation of all manner of estate documents (including wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements and trusts), commercial and residential real estate transactions, commercial leasing, commercial loans (both borrower and lender), business purchase and sale, incorporation of new companies, corporate records management of existing companies, land development (including but not limited to drafting and registration of easements and subdivisions), and foreclosures.

In addition, Brad also has a boutique litigation practice for select clients, and his particular areas of practice include: wills variation claims, estate and probate litigation, commercial disputes, collections, personal injury claims and property law claims. Brad has represented clients in the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court, and the Provincial Court (Small Claims Division) of British Columbia, and also resolves cases using out of court processes such as negotiation and mediation.

Brad prides himself on his attention to detail and clear communication style. He works with his clients to always ensure they understand their legal rights and options at all stages of a case. No matter what strategy is best for any individual case, Brad always strives to conduct a transaction or resolve a dispute in the most economical fashion possible while serving the best interests of his clients.

With respect to his background, Brad was born and raised in Nanaimo and enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle with hiswife and children. Brad is pleased to practice law and serve the needs of his hometown community alongside his wife Melissa, and their two friendly office dogs Chester and Joey. Brad attended Vancouver Island University for his undergraduate studies, first completing a Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology Diploma in 2008 and then completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree (with distinction) with double minors in history and political science in 2010. Next, he went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2014. Brad completed his articles with Fabris McIver Hornquist & Radcliffe and was called to the bar in May of 2015. Since that time has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
